Area of an auto camp is located on the periphery of small village Súľov Hradná, close to the beautiful Súľov Rocks. Here in the area of auto camp, is a guesthouse with restaurant called Pútnik, cottage called Oáza (Oasis) and extensive grasslands intended for tents and caravans.
The resort offers accommodation, conference and catering services on high level. It is suitable for active or passive recreation. We would like to welcome small or big groups, whole companies for events and workshops, school trips, scouts, individuals seeking relaxation, active tourists, and families with children. You can find here a perfect place for your relaxation but also for fun too. Biking, hiking, hill climbing, barbecue or goulash parties, family or corporate events or meetings; this is just a few of many possibilities of what you can do in your free time. Less active people can visit the nearby swimming pools and spas, admire the beauty of nature directly from the resort, sightseeing is also possible or you can learn about the rich history of surrounding towns. In winter months you can ski in the nearby resort called Makov (up to 15km). You can find here trails for cross-country skiing or for example you can go ice-skating or you can rent and ride scooters and take a tour around this beautiful part of our country.
Despite the varied possibilities offered by our area, we hope and believe that main reason, the biggest attraction for visiting us will be the beautiful and magnificent Súľov Rocks, which are considered as phenomenal nature treasure in this part of Slovakia. Their uniqueness is admired by nature lovers for long times ago. The Súľov Rocks became on object of admiration among geologists, zoologists, ornithologists, artists, travelers and travel writers, tourists. First mention of the Súľov Rocks was found in 1839 in the chronicles of Madočáni family. In Latin language was written: Rocks and rock boulders, which are all around the Súľov village in a long circle range and which looks like beautiful and picturesque theatre and play of nature, are visited, examined and admired by strangers passing through from other countries.
If someone is looking for the best-known geographic adjective for rocks, it would have been Súľov. They were formed in the ages of older Tertiary period, when this territory was filled with prehistoric sea. Not only their geomorphological peculiarities of these rocks, but also their shapes makes an impressive atmosphere. Especially for the magical atmosphere this place attracts filmmakers. Many scenes from famous movies were made right here, for example scenes from movies like Pacho hybský zbojník, Janko Hraško, Sokoliar Tomáš. This romantic world of bastions and towers is one of the most interesting and beautiful places in Slovak region of Horné Považie. It lies only 20km from the biggest city of this region Žilina. Bellow them lies a small village with a rich history, castle, mysteries in the rocks, myths and legends and also interesting fauna and flora. This small, quiet and typical village with a history is preserving, protecting and developing its heritage. They built tourism infrastructure, reconstructed school, square and church surroundings. In front of municipal office as a symbol of wisdom and the Súľov Rocks stands a sculpture of Owls (small and bigger). Currently the village has an area of 2295 hectares and 947 inhabitants.
